I gave up on initial idea to paint a character or monsters into this background as I felt it'd take away too much of the castle.

So instead I sat down, adding more details to it and here is the result.

Without giving too much clues, I wanted to give it a bit of evil feel,, that something lethal and perhaps undead was living inside the castle seen here.

Painted over several evenings, size reduced alot, no reference used.

Ask for permission before using this image for any reason.

Photoshop and a wacom intuos 3 tablet used.

This is amazing - your artwork for full screen images is outstanding. Do you do personal pieces like this for profit? I"m making a game (solo programmer) and am very interested in using your artwork as that is my weak spot - everything else I can do.

In particular, I am looking for a full screen image with a tower like this, an adventurer carrying a scroll walking up to it. The tower is dark and ominous, in the middle of a wasteland full of swamp and bones, with a single dirt path leading to the tower. The adventurer wears a single robe holding the scroll. I'm not sure what the pricing would be for such a piece, but if you are interested, please name your price.
