It's been a little while since last time I got to do some work
on my own comibcook series "Fallen". This is a concept map of Venia, a cut out where all the action in book 1 will be taking place. "Fallen" will in the end be a graphic novel, fantasy style, spanning several books. Much like the graphic novels about "Drizzt" if anyone has read them.

I've uploaded some weapon style concepts before, and there's many more concepts out of my universe "Fallen" to be made and uploaded here. These inlclude locations, people & creatures, as well as action scenes and more items.

Venia is a world ravaged by magical wars, sentinels and deadly contraptions and creatures lurk everywhere. The waring priesthoods were finally stripped of their powers by the gods and forced to co-exist. During this period of rebuilding and being forced to work with limited powers, many of the beasts and creatures that once were the priests slaves, turned against them. But the priests would have a chance to renew their powers as long as they worked together towards maintaing the peace in Venia..

This map cut-out was painted in less than a day, size-reduced version seen here. Names mentioned on map are a selection of the major locations in the series, book 1.

OMG!! I loved the way you represented your mountains on this map! I was looking for something to draw my own fantasy map!

Can you post a seamless texture or something for those mountains?
pleeeeeeeeeeesee!! make a pattern of them!!!

I really wanna try them out on my map! :DDD I already got some good-looking forests and deserts textures. Just scrached around for mountains and didnt find anything good. Your style looks great!

Oh I'm sooooo overdue with replying and going through the hordes of messages...
Each mountain is handpainted except for a few of them :)

I don't have any experience creating patterns so I doubt it'll do any good :XD:

What You could try is block in a bit of dark color, then use screen ontop of that and the smudge the mountain any way You want :)

WAit... how am I supposed to come up wiht something funny here.... it's a Map for cryin' out loud. There's no cities, no peoples, no caves, no funky looking towers to summon ancient summarian deities....

You forgot... the KEY! I don't know which way is up! I is lost in the lands of Fallen! ROFL.

Hold on, I've FALLEN, and I can't find the way UP XD

PS: Needs shark fins, whale flukes and small sailing ships in the waters, maybe a camel caravan across the desert and perhaps little bird "V's" flying in the distance. Provides more animation, kinda like the old school maps in days of yore.

You did a pretty good job so far.Am also a big Tolkien fan and his writing is what inspires me for my own.I doubht some of us can supass him but as I sayd you did a cool job so far.Keep it up :thumbsup:
