This is an Guardian Angel I was asked to paint for someone.
Ofcourse all the details that went into this image can't be transferred into ink on ones body, but I also wanted to have a nice image for my own portfolio online.

The finished tattoo might incorporate extra designs in the end.

The use of (what I assume is) the smudge tool is used very effectively here to create the impression of feathers.

THe feathers are quite soft looking while retaining there form and detail. Impressive. Great silhouette as well. That's very important for translation to tattoo. I like it.:D
