Someone suggested to me that I should paint a series of my own versions of the most known Middle-earth weaponry, known from Tolkiens books and from rpg sourcebooks made by Iron Crown Enterprises.
Second off is my version of Sting, known as the Knife or dagger if You like, of Bilbo and later Frodo Baggins.
Sting, as Bilbo named the elven blade, strikes with the force of a short sword. It glows a cold blue in the presence of Orcs, the closer they are the stronger is glows. It also is slaying against Orcs.

If I recall correctly, Sting was merely the size of an elven knife, but in the hands of a halfling, it looked like a sword. Magical abilities might be put into weaponry, making them inflict more damage than they normally would have. for their type and size. So when striking someone with a knife, and by doing so inflicts the same damage as a short sword, that is a rather nice increase in damage
Thanks! And yes, I planned to do more of these, then other art jobs caught up with me and I've been painting graphics for various pc/mac/iphone games since february. But when I pick up the ME weapons art project again, those will be among the first ones to be painted
