My nuclear nightmare...
Every now and then this bad dream returns to me. Usually I find myself somewhere around the place where I was born. I'm alone or with people I've not seen before doing ordinary stuff, then the huge rockets come flying by and soon after the mushrooms appear...closer and closer. Sometimes I run, sometimes I let the blast and the waves of particles and radiation hit me as I know I've no chance of escaping. I can swear I am able to feel the heat of the blast in my dreams. The scene changes from each dream but the nukes and their destruction don't... This is the first time in my life that I paint something from my dreams or nightmares..and it felt kinda weird doing so.. Painted over less than an evening, reference used for face. Photoshop and a wacom intuos 3 tablet. Ask for permission before using this image for any reason. |

When we dream like that, we don't get much rest and we wake up feeling like we have just finished running a marathon, or doing heavy lifting as our muscles were tense all night.
It is a good idea to keep a dream journal. Helps to get the immages from head to paper...
