Fantasy image/illustration painted for an art challenge on ImagineFX.com, theme being "Goblins".

I gave myself time to create two concept sketches and decided to go for this one. I also had the need to reinvent goblins into something not as poison green skinned as they're so widely illustrated elsewhere.

The story behind this image? I have my version, and I'll leave it up to You to find Your own version :D

Painted over two days, several layers.
Photoshop and a wacom tablet used.

These goblins look awesome. I wish I could see more of their kind. Most of the time when I draw goblins they look like green monsters, but you've captured them them as humanoid little people sort of fey like. Also they bested a well armored dwarf, sneaky little devils.
