If I did one..... It would look more similar to a jet using a high speed design. Yours is like a warship! Incredible! I love it

Great!
Maybe you should try render it in Kerkythea, that will make it more realistic.

I sorta looks like a deep sea fish. In a cool intimidating kind of way.

pretty awesome, what kind of textures are you using?

It's a simple texture of grey boxes and rectangles in all sizes, then put on as a distorted layer, several times all over the ship. Not the usual 3D approach, but it achieves the desired effect in the end :)

awesome ill have to try that method, I find skinning to be the hardest part of modeling.

My usual approach is to create a new image at for example 1000 x 1000 pixels and fill it with the squares and rectangles. When the 3D model is finished, I save a screenshot of it and import it into Photoshop. Then I apply the newly created texture as either a multiply or overlay layer and reduce the opacity to about 60-70%, depending on the texture itself.

I used to be good at 3DS MAX but that was years ago and I don't have the software anylonger.

It really is a ton of fun! Let me know if you join up and I'd be more than happy to help you get a good headstart. :D

And you look like a great ship designer. I would suggest submitting a couple of ideas to the EVE team!
