So here it is, the final version of the mighty wizard. I kept adding tiny details to it until my eyes almost went crazy on me :-)

He's a wizard of the school of many colors and he's very very mighty...and a show off...look what happened when I entered his study and scared him as he was studying a new spell. :-)

This is my latest personal piece, painted just for fun and I might add it to my prints later on.
I was trying out a new technique again, this time painting the entire picture in greytones and then adding colors to it afterwards.
This is entirely new to me as I add colors and shading/light as I go along with a picture.

Painted in several layers over approx 3 evenings.

PS and wacom tablet

It's done by a band Named Wizard, whihc is kinda epic. A band named Wizard singing bout a Mighty Wizard. The picture you did fits the feel of the song alot. If you get a chance try and find the song on Youtube.

This Wizard is really great. I cannot finish staring at him...

I'd like to ask, if I may use this absolutely brilliant picture as an illustration for my free card game licenced under creative commons. See my profile for some examples. But I have to tell you that for game specific reasons I should cover your image with a semi transparent layer.

Hey there, I'm sorry it took so long time to reply, inbox filled to the brim with messages after a long while of staying partially away from DA.
I love that you want to use my art for your game, but I have to say no as it will be made available for download for other people. If it were for a personal project, I'd probably let you do it :)

This is one of my favorite wizard pictures on DA. Of course, I love wizards in general, but there's something about this one, and the way that you can almost feel a sense of animation, as if he's going to pop out of the computer screen and turn you into a newt for interrupting him! :D
