Underwater discovery

Painted as my entry for the monthly IFX art challenge over at [link] , this months topic being "underwater discovery"

I immediately wanted to paint something fantasystyle but instead sat down to do something realistic with a hint of the legendary land of Atlantis.

What You see is kinda obvious, an expedition has discovered a statue of a lady deep down on the seabed, but what You down't see here (and which I've added more for my own sake) is the text on the mini-sub "Atlantis Discovery II"

Painted in approx one day, single layer, no reference used.
