High detail & quality full color top down fantasy tiles & tokens for any fantasy rpg campaign, a GMs dream for putting together a map for any fantasy campaign.

All tiles, terrains, tokens and everything else is handpainted by Raymond E Gaustadnes and will be delivered as kits, whereas the main kit will be named "Game Master's Campaign – fantasy art kit".

Several addon kits to the main kit are being planned, all which will be fully usable in addition with the main fantasy art kit or as stand alone kits for use with any other tiles & token set of your choice.

Everything will be painted using a top-down view, this allows you to use the same tile and simply rotating it in a 360 degree full circle to face any direction, using the same image.

This project is now approved and put out on kickstarter.com:

Just wondering, with the new digital content store feature now enabled here on DeviantArt, would any of you guys buy artwork made specifically for games purposes, be it digital or download-print-cut out?

By that I mean backdrops, tiles such as buildings, vegetation/plants/trees, items such as weaponry, armor, potions, rings, magical devices, fantasy characters, enemies, monster/creatures and UI elements and more.

Over the last year, I've had massive experience working with several roguelike games, creating around 7000 tiles for them. These are games such as Tales of Maj'Eyal - winner of Roguelike of the year 2012 and Angband.

I'm thinking of creating sets, single pieces and tiles made by special request and put them in this new digital content store made available for a reasonable sum of DeviantArt points. See the examples below:

A new beginning

Hello good people! I know it's been way too long since I had stuff going on here, and I mean personal
fantasy paintings, middle-earth related paintings and the occasional scifi image. And I am sorry, sorry that my desire
to get myself into the gaming industry has lead me away from the fun path of painting personal artwork.

Looking over my DA statistics, which I have neglected for far too long, I see that there are almost 2.5K watchers to my
DA account..to me that is a crazy number..and I'm amazed that most of you have stuck with me, a mediocre digital artist even through the lack
of updates and the lack of new imagery of the kind that probably was the reason why you added my account to your
watchlist in the first place.

I hope to change that. I plan to start painting artwork based solely on my own wants and desires again on a regular basis.

The last couple of years have been taxing for me, I've spent far too much time, effort and energy trying to get where I want in life,
neglecting the needs and wants of others close to me, friends and loved ones. I have spent almost every moment awake,
planning, thinking, working my way to this place where I am now and it's a curse really, because when you are so set on achieving
something, you lose focus and interest in much else. So being creative is both a curse and a blessing. But I'm almost there now, almost there where I'd like to be.
When you really want to achieve something, you have to make sacrifices, I sure hope mine was worth it..

It's been a tough ride and a fun ride. I've gotten to work with a few companies which has kinda been one of my dreams since back when I was
an adventurous kid that loved everything with a fantasy or scifi element in it. And ever since I got to know
and admire the artwork of Angus McBride on the covers of the rpg rulebooks that IronCrownEnterprises published at that time I was 12
which was what sparked my interest in painting in the first place.

...

One of the projects I've been struggling with and trying to get going, is designing and making my own iOS games for iPhones/iPads through
my own team going under the name Ironthrone Games. I'm not particularly fond of Apple products but they represent stability
and fixed specs and therefor are easy to work with, compared to Android based mobiles and the multitude of various specs and screens.
I say struggling, because working for free, and asking others to join in, on contracts that promise them a cut of the income once
the games are finished aint easy. Luckily I've managed to find a few good programmers to help create the games I am
developing through my personal project team that is Ironthrone Games.

The first game to get finished and hopefully get through the needle eye that is App store, is JungleRunner. For now I'll just add a link
to the website where I'm keeping people updated about our progress, but I'll also post info about the games in future Journal updates here on DA.

Thanks for reading, it felt really good to be able to empty some of my heart.

Oh..btw..I'm now co owner and game developer of a Norwegian based company named Arcanist Studio, together with two professionals, we're making a game
called Legendary,starting this summer  :)

The next image posted here, will be of dragons...there, I've said it.

I also noticed that nobody claimed the 500 points 130.000 pageview prize either, only shows that the shoutbox is a worthless tool in DeviantArt.
Don't panic, it will be yours at the 140.000 pageview hit instead :)

Now just pretend you didn't read this journal.
